    Newport bridge, Monmouthshire.� Biography Edward Burton’s inquisition post mortem was taken at Shrewsbury 3 Nov. 1642. He had died at Atcham the previous 20 Mar., leaving a widow Elizabeth, and a son and heir Francis, then aged over 22.Vis. Salop

    In his will he left over £80 to be divided between the poor of Shrewsbury, Wellington, Newport, High Ercall, Wroxeter, Atcham, Upton Magna and Waters Upton. The will, dated 18 Feb. 1621, made provision for his children, and left legacies
